RORY ROWLAND

Ethics, Integrity, and Getting Things Done

Rory Rowland is a life-long Democrat, looking up to President Harry S. Truman as a political inspiration for becoming a public servant. Rory has lived in Independence for 34 years with his wife, Tedi.

Their four children were raised in Independence and attended school in the Independence School District. Rory and Tedi are members of St. Mark’s Catholic Church where he has served on the Finance Committee for 20 years.

In 1986, he completed his MBA from University of Missouri -Kansas City and went on to serve as President of two credit unions in the Kansas City area. In 1995, Rory started Rowland Consulting where he speaks to business groups all over the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Citing the vacancy of the 29th Missouri House District, and with the support of family, friends, and the 29th Legislative District Democratic Committee,  Rory launched his campaign to bring fair representation for local voters.

Rory has pledged to oppose “Right to Work” schemes that weaken working, support Medicaid Expansion legislation that would provide new healthcare coverage to over 300,000, and demand real and meaningful ethics reform to clean up Missouri’s capitol.
